“No one would let me see him, they haven’t even allowed us a phone call…”

Maridilegnis Carballo told CSW she is running out of strength. Her husband, Pastor Lorenzo Rosales Fajardo, was detained after taking part in a peaceful march. She was told there will be repercussions for her 17-year-old son if she continues to speak out about her husband’s detention.

Pastor Lorenzo continues to be held in a maximum security prison alongside prisoners convicted of violent crimes. He faces false charges which carry a prison sentence of between three and 20 years.
